More than 50 of the area’s talented artists exhibit and sell their works at the Brandon Artists Guild (affectionately called the BAG).  Brandon has been called “the art and soul of Vermont” because of the work of these dynamic, vibrant, and varied artists belonging to the BAG. The exhibit space is open to the public 7 days a week throughout the entire year. No tour of Vermont’s galleries is complete without a visit to this very special community of artists whose reputations extend far beyond the borders of Vermont. Artisans at the Bend / Robin Kent is located “at the bend” on Route 7 near the edge of the village. The barn is a studio/gallery for creating contemporary folk art paintings and sculpture. Owner/artists Robin Rodda Kent and Jim Barner’s works have been purchased by the American Folk Art Museum in New York City and carried by prominent galleries nationwide. Compass Music and Arts Center celebrates music and the creative arts through regular art exhibits by regional artists, music performances, programs, workshops, and more. Visit with artisans while they work in their studios, browse specialty stores, the book shop and the classical music store featuring the music of international recording label, Divine Art Records, and retrace the history of recorded sound in the Phonograph Rooms exhibit. Artist studios, rehearsal and lesson rooms, offices, and retail space is available. See the website for updates. Compass is open daily from 10-5pm with a café serving lunch, coffee, and freshly baked goods from 10:30-4pm daily. Compass is located in the old Brandon Training School, now known as Park Village, just north of downtown Brandon, off of Arnold District Road.
