Brandon is full of year-round events.
Community-wide events strengthen the bonds among people—for those who are lucky enough to live here as well as for those who visit for a day or a season. Brandon’s year-round schedule of events highlight all our assets.

ANNUAL EVENTS:
- Free Summer Concert Series - concerts on the lawn behind the Brandon Inn, next to the Neshobe River every Wednesday 6pm-8pm in July and August.
- Memorial Day Parade -10:00am- Central Park-last Monday in May. A very quaint event- a small parade, a few speeches and a 100+ year old tradition of first grade girls placing flowers at the base of the Civil War Monument.
- Brandon Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks - always the first Saturday in July.
- Basin Bluegrass Festival - always the weekend after the parade.
- Great Brandon Auction - varies-always late June, early July in the Brandon Town Hall!!
- Yard Sale Day - always the first Saturday in August.
- Farmer's Market Craft Fairs - Saturday of Indigenous Peoples Day weekend and mid-December
- Memory Tree Festivities (always the Sunday immediately following Thanksgiving 3:30pm)
- Moonlight Madness- December- town wide sales and holiday fun! Watch for advertising and times.
- Holiday decorating Contest- Judges will be out in late December!

- Brandon Free Public Library has a full schedule of events, talks & special programs.
- Brandon Museum is open Thursdays and Fridays from 11 am – 4 pm and Saturdays from 11 am – 1:30 pm from Memorial day in May thru Indigenous Peoples Day in October, and by appointment. Call 802-247-2844 for info or email info@brandonmuseum.org.
- Brandon Farmer's Market mid-May every Friday from 9am-2pm in Central park.
- Brandon Town Recreation Events and activities galore!!.
- Brandon Artists Guild (monthly special exhibits and art shows)
- Brandon Town Hall Calendar- Shows, music, silent movies and more!
- Vermont Fiber Mill & Studio holds workshops, camps, and hands-on sessions.
- Brandon Music - hosts regular live music concerts with top jazz and classical musicians
- Compass Music & Arts Center is the home of events, exhibits, performances, and special shows. Open all year.
- Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival is all about showcasing the outstanding work of first and second time filmmakers. The event takes place in scenic Middlebury, Vermont in late August each year.
- Branbury State Park, located on the shore of Lake Dunmore, serves up a whole calendar of events throughout the summer.
- Vermont Open Studio with many Brandon area artists galleries and studios open to the public.
