Come and join me in the kitchen at The Inn on Park Street. We will make several kinds of macaroons: familiar coconut (and we’ll dip some in chocolate), chocolate coconut, and almond macaroons Italian-style with pignolis. We will also make classic sandwiched French “macarons” tinged with pastels and filled with creamy confections. French macarons are the newest rage and becoming so popular stores devoted entirely to macarons are opening in major cities. Come learn the recipes and techniques and take some home with you.
Judy Bunde, innkeeper of The Inn on Park Street, moved to Vermont after 35 years in the Boston area where she owned and operated a wholesale dessert business, Sweet Endings, in suburban Boston for nearly 18 years. Clients included restaurants, hotels, caterers, gourmet food shops, and large concerns such as Starbucks and Trader Joe’s.
Spend a couple of hours with Judy and you will be Mad for Macaroons! Enrollment is limited to seven people so register early. Judy will also hold a Sunday, Feb. 19 session at 1:00 pm if there is enough interest. If you have any questions, contact Judy at 802-247-3843 or by email.
