The Inside Scoop features Wilcox, Vermont's Original Ice Cream. Specialties include Sundaes, Floats, Milkshakes, Fruit Smoothies, Banana Splits, Cold Drinks mixed from the Soda Fountain, as well as Cones and Cups. Varieties available include Frozen Yogurts, Sherbert, Sorbet, and Fat-Free-No-Sugar-Added Ice Cream. There are dozens of Toppings to choose from to customize your Treat. Seasonally, there is Vermont Coffee Company Iced Coffee or Hot Cocoa of local and imported varieties.

Antiques By The Falls is an antiques and uniques shop with an eclectic offering of antiques, collectibles, smalls, glass, whimsical, toys, art, and furniture. Also specializing in original folk art, paintings, prints, and ephemera. Lots of advertising and souvenir china. Large selection of antique, retro, and silver jewelry. Featuring Mexican folk art, wood carvings, masks, and Day of the Dead. Lose yourself while browsing, exploring, and discovering the unusual and hard-to-find.

The vintage oak and marble counters at The Inside Scoop evoke memories of an era gone-by. Together with the antique soda fountain, they were moved from an old ice cream parlor in southern Vermont and customized to fit perfectly in our 1840s building. Stepping into The Inside Scoop will definitely make you feel like you are strolling down Memory Lane!		Vermont specialty food products are always popular. We carry Maple Syrup from Mount Pleasant Sugarworks, a full selection of Vermont Country Teas, Vermont Farmgirl Cocoas, Maple City Fudge and Nuts, and Vermont Sweetwater Sodas and many other Vermont-made products. Vermont Coffee Company is fair trade and organic and is available in bulk.

The Inside Scoop specializes in hard-to-find, vintage, and retro candy.	Experience the fizz of Zotz and the sensation of candy-turned-gum Razzles.
Do you remember Abba Zaba, Idaho Spud and Cherry Mash? What about Licorice Wheels, Swedish Fish, and Nut Goodies? We've got Bazooka, Chuckles, Cherry Mash, and Pixie Stix, Skybars, Candy Necklaces and Candy Buttons! All these candies, and many more of your long-forgotten favorites, are still being made today and are available here!

Ice cream parties and getting together with friends and family are ideal in our sitting room with marble top tables and wire back chairs.	The wrap-around porch is a popular spot throughout the summer to watch life in a small Vermont town at its best.

Our indoor seating room is nicely decorated with antiques and collectibles. We are Wi-Fi, making it convenient to check your messages while fueling up. December is the month for our popular Decorate-A-Gingerbread-House event and this youung customer is making a beautiful one!

The wrap-around porch is an excellent place to begin exploring Antiques By The Falls. Stretching from one side of the building to the other, we've stocked the porch with a sample of what you'll find inside; an excellent assortment of a glass, pottery, toys, kitchenware, furniture, and much more. Inside, browsers will come across local art, paper, vintage, new, and costume jewelry, china, lighting and lamps, wall decor, games, carvings, miniatures, old tools, and anything else we find interesting and whimsical!


Proprietor Joel Mondlak has been a collector all his life. From this passion, he has turned this historic 1840s inn annex building into a true treasure chest. Special finds can be found throughout, from the old-kitchen-pantry nook to the crannies behind every turn. And if you don't find what you are looking for, Joel's got a barn-full of furniture that just won't fit inside. Chances are he can help you locate exactly what you have in mind.
