Maple View Farm Alpacas will be open from 11 am – 4 pm on Saturday, February 18. Stop by to learn more about alpacas, raised for their luxurious fiber, which is softer and warmer than wool. Then browse the farm store featuring a wide variety of products made from alpaca fiber, including roving, yarn, handknit goods, rugs, teddy bears and much more.

Vermont Fiber Mill & Studio is located at Maple View Farm.  Utilizing fiber from their alpacas, Debbie & Ed Bratton create a variety of products from roving to felt to yarn.  During Art in the Snow, Debbie will demonstrate felting techniques on the FeltLOOM, a unique piece of equipment used to create felted fabric and objects from carded fiber.  You might even want to try it yourself!

Ed & Debbie have been raising alpacas for 9 years growing their herd from 3 to 27.  Out of their need to process their fiber, they recently opened a mill on the farm.

Located on 100 scenic acres just 2.5 miles north of Brandon, Maple View Farm Alpacas breeds and sells high quality alpacas. Ed and Debbie Bratton invite you to visit and learn about these gentle, intelligent creatures, then browse the farm store which features products made from luxurious alpaca fiber. Ed and Debbie are happy to introduce you to the wonderful lifestyle and business opportunities provided as an alpaca breeder.

Directions: Approximately one mile north of the center of downtown Brandon, turn west onto Arnold District Road (left for those driving north on Rt 7; right for those driving south). Continue down Arnold  District 1.1 mile to Adams Road. Adams is a gravel road that goes off only to the left, just past Hollow Road. You will see a blue “Maple View Farm Alpacas” sign. Drive a couple hundred feet down Adams Rd and it becomes our driveway. Drive through the stone columns to the house. The barn and store are around the back.
