Joan Curtis and her art

Visitors to Brandon looking for artist studios should check out Joan Curtis’s artwork at her studio in downtown Brandon. Two- and three-dimensional work of vibrant color, texture, and fanciful imagination.  Her visionary, semi-figurative art takes the form of acrylic paintings/collages, colored pencil drawings, and mixed-media sculptures using fabrics and papier-mache on strong armatures.

Joan has exhibited throughout New England and in invitationals elsewhere.  Her work is in the public collections of Middlebury College Museum of Art (Middlebury, VT), the Robert Hull Fleming Museum (Burlington, VT), and the Fuller Museum of Art (Brockton, MA), and in many private collections. She is an active member of the Brandon art community.

Joan’s paintings are on view year-round at Furchgott and Sourdiffe Gallery, Shelburne, VT and the Brandon Artists Guild in Brandon.  Beyond Art in the Snow, the studio will be open during the May Memorial Day Weekend statewide Open Studios.   The public is welcome to visit the studio by appointment or chance at any time. You may email Joan at juljoan@sover.net or call her at 802-247-4337
