Events and Happenings

Brandon is full of year-round events.

Community-wide events strengthen the bonds among people—for those who are lucky enough to live here as well as for those who visit for a day or a season. Brandon’s year-round schedule of events highlight all our assets.

Here is a listing and the "formula" for how we figure the date. Just click on the links for more info.

ANNUAL EVENTS:

  • Free Summer Concert Series - concerts on the lawn behind the Brandon Inn, next to the Neshobe River every Wednesday 6pm-8pm in July and August.
  • Memorial Day Parade -10:00am- Central Park-last Monday in May. A very quaint event- a small parade, a few speeches and a 100+ year old tradition of first grade girls placing flowers at the base of the Civil War Monument.
  • Brandon Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks - always the first Saturday in July.
  • Basin Bluegrass Festival - always the weekend after the parade.
  • Great Brandon Auction - varies-always late June, early July in the Brandon Town Hall!!
  • Yard Sale Day - always the first Saturday in August.
  • Farmer's Market Craft Fairs - Saturday of Indigenous Peoples Day weekend and mid-December
  • Memory Tree Festivities (always the Sunday immediately following Thanksgiving 3:30pm)
  • Moonlight Madness- December- town wide sales and holiday fun! Watch for advertising and times.
  • Holiday decorating Contest- Judges will be out in late December!
